Deadlines and Review Process (A little Different than we’ve done in the past)

The final deadline for proposals is January 21, 2013. We plan to have a decision on your proposal to you by early March. Now, here is what’s new and different… We are also offering an optional “Quick Decision submission date” that promises, well, a quick decision! If we receive your proposal by November 10, 2012, we will have a decision to you by December 15, 2012. Again, this quick decision proposal date is optional and the final deadline remains January 21, 2013.

We hope that this optional “quick decision” date may work better for some contributors’ workflows. Contributors may also appreciate the earlier decision as it helps to attain funding before year’s end and because it allows one to begin travel arrangements further in advance. As a conference that identifies itself as encouraging and supportive we want you to know that if your “quick decision” date proposal is not accepted, you have an opportunity to revise and resubmit proposals by the final January 21 deadline.

Please know that your proposal will we be reviewed on merit and the review and decision will not be affected by the submission date.
